Green Alleyway Project
he Urban Studio provided administrative capacity to carry out the community engagement, design, and implementation of up to eleven murals throughout South Central Los Angeles.
Reimagine Middle Branch
The Urban Studio’s role was to lead on innovative youth engagement. We designed a custom youth-led initiative called the Community Design Lab, where students learned how the planning process worked and developed their own project ideas, which were included as part of the Reimagine Middle Branch plan.
Pueblo Del Rio
For this project, The Urban Studio gathered early engagement ideas for two key sites in the South Central neighborhood to undergo landscape renovation.
Virtual Studio
The Virtual Studio: Designing for D.C. Stormwater expanded how students of color are educated and engaged by making stormwater relevant to urban communities through a series of 5 masterclass-style learning modules.
Studio South Central
The Studio South Central initiative launched an urban sustainability youth leadership program for high school students in South Central Los Angeles.
