Adults and Seniors

Second Bloom expands the Design Lab across generations. Adults and seniors participate in structured workshops that blend art, placemaking, and environmental learning.

Through facilitated sessions, participants design and fabricate small-scale public space improvements, wayfinding elements, and landscape features that enhance clarity, comfort, and usability at BlackRock and surrounding sites. Older adults serve not only as participants but as peer leaders and instructors, reinforcing civic contribution and reducing social isolation.

 Second Bloom strengthens aging-in-place efforts by positioning seniors as designers and contributors to visible community improvements.
