Nature Art Collection

explore local nature. one color at a time.

Created through the EPA’s Thriving Communities Grantmaking Program, the Nature Art Collection is an online body of coloring and activity sheets designed to delivery quick environmental learning and moments of self-care.

Each page in the collection is thoughtfully researched, illustrated, and hand-created to celebrate the rich flora and fauna of Washington, D.C. and Maryland.

These pages are an opportunity to slow down, get creative, and connect with the thriving natural world right outside; the butterfly you may have seen in your garden, the tree that shades your block, the bird calling from a nearby park, or the powerful streams and rivers that flow through our community.

Our collection is also home to online gallery of completed works from students, parents, children, and adults alike who have gotten curious and creative with our activities.
